Luxeed, the new electric vehicle (EV) brand co-founded by Huawei and Chery, has re-launched its first model, the S7, which suffered production woes after its debut at the end of November last year.
Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s automotive business, relaunched the Luxeed S7 today at the HarmonyOS Eco Spring Exchange, the first sedan from the Chinese tech giant’s partnership with a local automaker.

The starting price of the Luxeed S7 entry-level model remains unchanged at RMB 249,800 (approximately US$34,520), but all other models are priced RMB 20,000 lower.

Notably, the entry-level Luxeed S7 has an increased battery capacity of 82 kWh, up from 62 kWh previously, and an increased CLTC range of 705 kilometres, up from 550 kilometres.

The re-launched Luxeed S7 is available in five models: Pro, Max, Max+, Max RS, and Ultra, with starting prices of $249,800, $269,800, $299,800, $329,800, and $349,800, respectively.

When it goes on sale for the first time on 28 November 2023, the model will be offered in Pro, Max, Max+ and Max RS variants with starting prices of $249,800, $289,800, $319,800 and $349,800 respectively.

This means that the price of the Pro version remains unchanged, the Max, Max+ and Max RS versions are all priced $20,000 lower, and the Max RS is a new version.
