Hong Kong, July 17, 2024 – Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has taken a significant step in its international expansion by launching the right-hand drive Zeekr X SUV in Hong Kong. Following its successful debut in Thailand, Zeekr continues to make waves in the global EV market.

Enhancing the EV Landscape in Hong Kong The Zeekr X, priced at HK$249,900 ($32,000), offers a compelling entry into the premium EV segment in Hong Kong. Slightly above its mainland China starting price of RMB 200,000 ($27,540), the Zeekr X is available in two variants: a single-motor rear-wheel drive version and a dual-motor four-wheel drive version, with starting prices of HK$249,900 and HK$269,900, respectively.

Performance and Efficiency The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version boasts a peak motor power of 200 kW, generating 272 hp and achieving a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds. The dual-motor four-wheel-drive version ups the ante with a combined peak motor power of 315 kW, producing 428 hp, and an impressive 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 3.8 seconds. Both variants are powered by a 66 kWh battery pack, offering WLTP ranges of 440 kilometers and 420 kilometers, respectively.

Globalization and Market Expansion Zeekr’s commitment to globalization is evident as it plans to cover 50 global markets by 2024. The company is already present in over 25 mainstream international markets and continues to expand its footprint. The right-hand drive Zeekr X, initially launched in the Chinese mainland on April 12, 2023, is now making its mark in international markets, starting with Thailand and Hong Kong.
