GAC joins hands with CLVG to explore new energy market in Thailand
On July 3, according to GAC International’s official WeChat account, a centralized delivery ceremony for the AION Y Plus online car-hailing project was held at GAC Bangkok International Pattanakan Service Center. The first batch of 100 vehicles were officially delivered, and the first phase of the project is planned to reach 2,000 vehicles, marking the full implementation of GAC’s new energy travel solutions in Thailand.

This delivery also witnessed the strategic cooperation between GAC Group and CLVG (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading travel company in Thailand, to jointly open a new era in the electric online car-hailing market in Thailand. In the future, the two parties will take this cooperation as a starting point to continue to deepen their strategic layout in Southeast Asia, and will further expand to key markets such as Indonesia and Malaysia, helping GAC Group to build a sustainable smart travel ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.
Wang Haoyong, general manager of GAC Group’s Thailand International Sales Company, said: “This cooperation reflects the high recognition of GAC AION Y Plus’s technology and quality, and is also an important step in promoting clean energy and reducing pollution in Thailand. We are committed to providing innovative and efficient electric vehicles for Thai consumers and businesses.”
In addition, in order to actively respond to the Thai government’s “2050 Carbon Neutrality” and “EV30@30” strategic goals, GAC Group will work with CLVG to promote the localization of China’s leading online car-hailing operation experience in Thailand, and provide travel services to Thai consumers by building a travel ecosystem with electric vehicles as the core.
In addition to this delivery, GAC Group continues to make efforts in the Thai market. For example, on June 25, Upai Energy Thailand Battery Service Center officially opened. It is reported that as the main enterprise of GAC Group’s energy ecology sector, Upai Energy established GAC Energy Thailand as early as last year.
The battery service center opened this time will rely on the advantages of GAC Group’s entire industrial chain to provide comprehensive battery testing and maintenance services, and will be located at the same location as the GAC Trade Thailand sales store, forming a synergistic effect of “sales service + energy security integration” to provide Thai users with a full life cycle service experience from car purchase to car use.
In terms of charging facility layout, Upai Energy has built 27 charging stations in Thailand and plans to build a super charging network of 200 stations and 1,000 piles by 2027.
