BYD, a leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Seal 06 GT, at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show. The new model is set to hit the Chinese market in mid-to-late September, with a competitive pre-sale price range of approximately $21,150 to $28,200 USD. International sales are anticipated to commence in early 2025.
The Seal 06 GT is a sleek and sporty all-electric vehicle built on BYD’s advanced e-platform 3.0 Evo. It boasts dimensions of 4630 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, and 1490 mm in height, with a spacious wheelbase of 2820 mm. The exterior design is characterized by a sculpted hood, a dynamic lower grille with integrated radar, and a flowing side design that emphasizes the vehicle’s sporty character. The rear is marked by a distinctive full-width taillight and a prominent diffuser, enhancing its sporty appearance.
The interior of the Seal 06 GT is a blend of modernity and technology, offering shell white or twilight blue color schemes. It features a 15.6-inch adaptive floating screen, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 12-inch head-up display. Performance-wise, the Seal 06 GT offers both single and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor variant comes with two power options: 160 kW/310 Nm or 165 kW/330 Nm. The dual-motor version pairs a 110 kW front motor with a 200 kW rear motor, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.9 seconds. The vehicle is available with battery options of 59.52 kWh or 72.96 kWh, providing ranges of 505 km, 605 km, and 550 km under CLTC standards.
