Song L DM-i follows BYD’s distinctive Dragon Face design language, offering a sleek and modern aesthetic. With dimensions of 4780/1898/1670 mm and a wheelbase of 2782 mm, this mid-size SUV is slightly larger than the BYD Song Plus, which is available in Europe as the Seal U.
The new crossover comes in four body color options: Ice Blue, Emerald, White, and Gray, providing a range of choices to suit different tastes. The interior is available in a single color option called “Golden Sand Ceramic,” adding a touch of elegance to the vehicle’s interior.
Song L DM-i is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated internal combustion engine (ICE) that delivers 74 kW (99 hp), paired with a powerful 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor. This combination ensures a smooth and efficient driving experience.
Two LFP battery options are available, manufactured by BYD subsidiary FinDreams, with capacities of 18.3 kWh and 26.6 kWh. These batteries support CLTC ranges of 112-160 km, catering to different driving needs.
A standout feature of the Song L DM-i is its DM 5.0 PHEV technology, which boasts a thermal efficiency of 46% and a fuel consumption rate of 2.9 L/100km. This advanced system can achieve up to 2,100 km in range, although the actual fuel consumption and range for the Song L DM-i may vary.
The Song L DM-i is available in four trim levels: 112 km Leading, 112 km Transcend, 160 km Transcend, and 160 km Brilliant, offering consumers a variety of options to choose from.
