BYD launches compact electric SUV Yuan Up, starting at $13,400

BYD offers the Yuan Up in three trim levels, with a range of up to 401 kilometers and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

BYD has launched the Yuan Up, a compact electric SUV as its latest affordable model. The new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer officially launched the Yuan Up, the latest member of the Yuan family, at a launch event today. Another product lineup of the BYD brand is the Ocean series.

All BYD Yuan Up series are equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motors. The entry version is equipped with a motor with a peak power of 70kW and a peak torque of 180Nm, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers in just 12 seconds.
